Our Hallowe'en Costumes: a tribute.

So, this year, we pulled off a Hallowe'en duo that is near and dear to the hearts of everyone from our generation.
Mister Rogers and Mister (Mrs. ?) McFeely.


The best part of the night was this look of wonder that came across anyone's face once the recognition hit. You could see that it touched this place inside everyone - no matter their age, no matter what they dress like, no matter their 'persona' they'd developed over the years. At the sight of "Mister Rogers" everyone we met was instantly reverted their five-year-old selves. Back to a time when even if things weren't simple, one grown-up could always be counted on to give simple answers and like us just for being us.


Over the past few days, as we've pieced together our costumes, looked at photographs, and watched clips, my heart has felt like it might burst from all the good that Mister Rogers put into the world. If you get a chance, read his wiki article and learn more about his life or just read the fifteen reasons CNN calls him 'The Best Neighbor Ever'. He might just be my favourite person...
